Out With Summer, In With Fall
1.Autumnal Equinox- The first day of fall is know as the autumnal equinox. On this day the daylight hours equals the night time hours.
2. Migration- Birds migrate south during the fall to find a nice place to winter when the snow falls. As a side note, certain demographics of people do the same thing and are known as snowbirds.
3.It's Aurora Season-Geomagnetic storms occur twice as often during fall according to NASA so grab your cameras and head north.
4.It's Always Sunny Here- Those areas that are located on Earth's equator don't get to experience fall however they do have mild climates all year.
5. The Harvest Moon- The full moon closest to the equinox is known as the Harvest Moon. During the days before electricity this full moon was extremely important for farmers during the harvest season as it provided light for them to work with late into the night.
With these cooler temperatures it's a great time to get out on those ATV's and hit the trails so get your cameras and binoculars and get outside before old man winter shuts down the roads for winter. Have a good weekend!
